This program helps catalyze the success of medical rehabilitation researchers and interdisciplinary teams by providing consultation, seed funds, key expertise and resources, and ultimately feedback, for the conduct of innovative pilot projects, early-stage proof-of-concept studies, and futility studies needed to shape more definitive clinical trials.
REACT will award up to $160,000 in pilot funding per year (max. per award = $40,000 per year). Awarded investigative teams will receive 12 months of funding, along with key resources and mentorship necessary to develop exceptional, future investigator-initiated clinical trials.
In addition to supporting pilot/feasibility studies, our center provides Scholar Awards to facilitate REACT resource utilization by investigative teams from the national community. Scholar Awards can be used by investigators to take advantage of Center resources (e.g., biostatistics and clinical trials design expertise, core laboratories) for the purposes of generating preliminary data and receiving protocol advice.
The REACT Center also provides updates about external funding opportunity announcements that support medical rehabilitation researchers.
